In partnership with the Ontario Society of Physical Activity Promoters in Public Health (OSPAPPH), PARC delivered this webinar on physical literacy.
Physical literacy is a vital component of building an Ontario where its citizens value and engage in lifelong physical activity. Physical literacy is the foundation that children need in order to develop transferable skills that will keep them active and healthy throughout their lives. Whether you are very new to the term “physical literacy” or have championed the topic area, this webinar is for you!
Heather Gardner (Ophea) will present an overview of physical literacy. This overview will ensure that participants understand the foundations of physical literacy; what it is, why it is important, and how it can be developed.
Chris Sherman and Chantal Lalonde from OSPAPPH will present on their newly released Key Messages and Policy Recommendations for Physical Literacy. The focus will be on how the key messages can be used to promote and advocate for physical literacy.
